    why burpee pull up?

I felt that the pullup/ dip substitution would have made the workout longer than it should take and muscle failure would probably take effect before you lost your breath so I figured burpee pullups would be a good swap

Burpee pull ups are the sub when you can’t do the muscle ups.

Had alot of issues tonight with my muscle ups. Became very agitated and frustrated after the first few knowing I was having trouble. Frustration took over my mechanics and it became a mental game to finish. Having a good support network around you, pushing you through is what helped make the day. After my WOD I was cleaning up my bar and someone said to me “way to push through and not stop…” Although it didnt make my performance better in my head, it helped me clear my mind. Little things like that make CFIC Community a great place. I will channel my frustration into working harder at the MU’s.
    Thanks guys

Ryan – You are The Man. The MUs will come with time, patience, and practice. I personally think you did awesome.

What I have come to learn in the short time I have been doing crossfit is that it’s not always about the time or the weight; sometimes it’s more about the effort and not giving up.

Thanks Collin and you are right about the effort. Need to work on the MU’s, false grip I have them down, they other grip is giving me troubles.
